My parents immigrated from Germany in 1937. My father was a student at the end of his study. He studied mechanical engineering at the Institude of technology in Breslau. Being a student at a German university in those days, made him understand and feel , that the Nazi regime is not just an unimportant passing episode.

Haifa, December 26th, (Reuter) – The Jewish Defense Organization "Hagana" has struck again, writes Jon Kimche, Reuter's special correspondent.

"Operation Bethlehem" to bring in a large sailing vessel with 250 immigrants without certificates was concluded in the early hours this morning with the dispersal of the landed immigrants from the Nahariya Beachhead, 20 miles North of Haifa.
